Aer Lingus 90
Design and typography for a new OOH campaign for Aer Lingus marking its 90th anniversary, celebrating its role in connecting Ireland with the world. It consists of large outdoor formats with photographs shot from close range. They show embraces, smiles, tears and those brief, often unspoken moments that happen immediately after returning home. The photographs do not present travel as a destination, but as a moment of reunion. The close-up photography is complimented by a sensitive typographic treatment. In addition there’s a bespoke logo mark for the 90th anniversary with accompanying onboard menu design. There’s also an archival series of work that depicts 90 years of Aer Lingus through a series of nostalgic airport posters that carry the boarding pass motif through each decade of the airline’s rich visual history.
